While manager Edwin Rodriguez served his one-game suspension Friday in the opener vs. the Braves, Marlins players Chris Volstad, Alex Sanabia and Gaby Sanchez appealed their sanctions.

Uggla sits out again with groin strain

Dan Uggla appeared in all 129 of the Marlins' games until he was scratched from the lineup on Monday with a mild right groin strain. Still taking it easy, Uggla was not playing again on Tuesday, and manager Edwin Rodriguez is leaning towards Friday being the day he likely returns.
